I had a nose job in 1988. I've never been satisfied with it and I'd like to try another surgeon. Should I look for one who specializes in revisions, or someone who specializes in just rhinoplasty. And does anyone have any recommendations of surgeons in NYC? Thanks.

Hi Stacy,

I have been exactly in your shoes! I had my primary done in 87 and a small revision done by the same Dr. in 88 and was never ever happy with the results. In 2004 I had a 4.5 hour revision done by Dr. Paul Nassif of Beverly Hills, CA. This was after checking out the revision specialists in my neck of the woods. He was the most talented and had the best and most natural looking results in his pictures. He is really down to earth and very easy to talk to..... Anyway long story short, do find a Dr. that is #1 certified by the ABFPRS, reason being is that they are specialized in doing facial plastic surgery. Secondly you do want to find a surgeon who specializes in revision rhinoplasty. A primary rhino. is very different that a revision. But be careful and do your homework. Any questions, dont hesitate to ask.

Good luck,

Rocsy
