Sounds like fibroids to me. It hurts but isn't harmful. Does it hurt on the sides of your breasts? I saw my doctor about this, and he told me to cut back on the caffiene. I stopped drinking coffee, and I stopped having problems. It's kind of scary because it makes your breasts a little lumpy, but they are benign cysts that a lot of women have, particularly around their period. Switch from coffee to cola, and you'll cut your caffiene down by half. If you're like me, you have to have SOMETHING. Doc said some caffiene is fine, but not to overdo it.

My doctor didn't seem concerned at all. He said they just happen in some women and aren't anything to worry about. He just wrote it off as another PMS thing. I've never read anything linking them to cancer. But they may make it harder to distinguish a "real" lump.

I have had fibroid cysts in my breasts for two and a half years now. My docs have always put off doing anything becuase they don't cause damage and yayaya...
Anyways, during my last exam (a week and a half ago) she said she wants to do a diognostic mammo in a while because they have multiplied (I didn't know this could happen).
I will have the mammo as soon as I am done having my colopscopy and LEEP so I am still unsure.
