Hi,

I had implantation bleeding - symptoms about 2 wks ago, which was about 2 wks before i was supposed to get my period. Today i exerienced brutal pain that i was doubled over with for about an hour. I also am experiencing light - moderate bleeding now. Is it possible i was pregnant and just miscarried? I never did get my period when it was due, just 2 wks before and it was lighter. Im so confused!!!

It very well could be a miscarriage...but it also could be something else. If I were you, I think I would either call my dr to see if I could get in, or else go to the E.R. I know neither sounds like much fun, but it's probably best, just in case you were having a m/c. That way they can tell you for sure what is happening. Good luck and keep us posted, ok?

Most miscarriages have a lot of bleeding. I have heard of women who miscarried with light/no bleeding, though.

Is your period due now? The pain could be from PMS. It wouldn't hurt to take a pregnancy test.

I agree with the last poster. If it uncommon for your period to be painful, I would see a doctor. You could have cysts on you ovaries, or something else. It wouldn't hurt to get checked out.

Good luck.

Don't even hesitate. Go get checked, simple as that. If it is a miscarriage, they need to know to make sure you don't hemmorage (sp??) or get an infection, plus you need to make sure everything is cleared out, in case you need a DNC. You don't want this to leave any long-term damage, which can happen if you don't get checked. Good luck, and I hope that everything goes ok for you. Take care of yourself!

Brutal pain that has you doubled over could be a sign of something serious, even if the bleeding is light. I would definitely get to a doctor soon or to the ER ASAP if the pain gets worse.

Im not sure if you had a miscarrage or not, but ill tell you what my experence has been:

I had so much paid i thought i was going to pass out... it lasted for several hours...4-5 hours... of intence pain... then 2 hours of of just really hard pain.. all this time i was having contractions coming and going for hours...my bleeding was very very very heavy...and i changed pads every 15 to 20 minutes... blood clots were the size of a small to med apple... of course they were not hard just large and full of blood... i passed 4 of those sized clots then 2 clots the size of plums... and then they got smaller... and i was on the toilet 75% of the day cause i was passing so much stuff....the cramps then started for the next 4 or 5 hours... during that time i did call my doctor and he told me i was having a miscarrage and that i could go in or just take care of it at home... i was to emotional to go in to the doctor so after i passed the baby he had me take a preg test and it came out negative so i didnt need a dnc eaither time... so if you are feeling anything like this you may want to call your doctor... sorry if i was a bit graphic... hope all goes well for you... i did this twice so far.. and i would not wish it upon my worst enemy...

For me with my second and this pregnancy at the time of ovulation I couldn't get out of bed for two days, and I had had bleeding (old blood, dark brown) for a couple days. For me it was implantation and apparently the pain came along with it.

I agree with the others, if it continues, worsens get yourself to a doc. Also a pregnancy test wouldn't hurt as others have said.

Best wishes
Jessica
