My son is 8 months old and he has been shaking real quick as if he just got a cold chill. He only did it every once in a while like when he just finished nursing and his hair is all wet from sweating and he just got a little chilly and shivered like he got a cold chill. Well yesterday, he did it 3 different times. Once when he was eating lunch, a second after he ate, and then a third when I was holding him. His skin did feel a little cold the third time he did it when I was holding him. Could this be something to be concerned about or am I just overreacting. It is ok to tell me if I am. I am a new mom - and I freak over the littlest things but I am trying to cool it a little. Thanks

I wouldn't worry, but to ease your mind you may want to call your pediatrician just to be safe. If it just sounds like chills he may just be a little cold.

HI,

I wouldn't worry too much about it. My son shivers a little every time he pees. He has just started doing it in the last few months. My mother in law says my husband used to do the same thing. I actually think its kinda funny now.

Maybe try adding a layer of clothing and upping the temp. in the house a degree or two to see if it stops. :)

I remember even as a young child, like 4 or 5 shivering like that when I peed or got into a warm tub or got excited. My mom said I did it from infancy. I still do it when I pee sometimes. LOL. I also always get chills really bad when I'm chilly. Teeth chattering and everything. My husband thinks I'm being dramatic, but I really can't help it.
