My husband has been dx with gout for 8 years or more. When first dx medicine helped and had several years no symptoms. Within last couple of months symptoms have come back but not in big toe. They have been in ankle first, now knees. Indomethicine seems to help relieve pain at onset, but when rx is through (usually 10 days) pain is back and usually worse than previous episode. Any thoughts?

I was diagnosed with gout almost 2 years ago. I only had one attack in my
left hand. The pain was so unbarable I could not even sleep at night.
After being diagnosed and treated I have not had any more attacks. Although
my doctor told me it most likely will happen again. That it could come back in my hand , knee, toe etc... No fun at all. I am sorry your husband is in such pain. Hope something can be done to control the pain. Baylee
