I am a 21 year old male with lingering throat issues... approximately two months ago the doc diagnosed me with bronchitis. I was given a z-pack and told to wait about 10-14 days for it to go away. After about three weeks, i went back to the doctor since my symptoms hadn't went away. They told me that this was normal, just the cold hanging on during cold season. My lingering symptoms included what i felt was a swollen tongue (although docs just said it felt that way because of the cold), constant coughing, a stiff neck and the feeling of something stuck in my throat at most times. I saw numerous doctors about these problems, all of them saying that nothing was seriously wrong. At the same time as all of this, I underwent a colonoscopy and an endoscopy for digestive problems. Today, two months later, my throat feels sore occassionally, the cough is somewhat going away, but now my neck hurts almost all the time and the feeling of something stuck in my throat is usually there. My question is that since this has lingered for two months and there are still remnants there, is this a sign of something more serious going on that I should ask the doctors to check? Would the doctor who performed the endoscopy for digestive reasons have found signs of anything wrong in my throat? I have used smokeless tobacco somewhat regularly in the past and fear complications due to that. I don't know what swollen lymph nodes or abnormalities on the neck would feel like... my doc checked that two weeks ago and felt nothing. Would there be any signs if something serious was going on or are these signs of something else? Sorry for the longwinded message, but i am becoming somewhat of a hypochondriac and it's worrying both my parents and I. Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you been tested for allergies... I know when I first started having symptoms of allergies it was a lot like what you mentioned.

I had an endoscopy and colonscopy last summer (I'm 23) due to a low blood count. For a few weeks after my throat hurt due to the scope.

just went to my doctor on Monday, he shined the light down my throat, felt the outside of my neck and told me that everything was fine. He gave me samples of a pill that breaks up mucous in the throat, which is what he said was causing the feeling of something in my throat along with anxiety. Thanks to all those who responded, it was much appreciated
