I was just wondering if any of you guys had a change in your periods after having laser surgery or Leep done. I started yesterday morning and by the afternoon I had to call my OB/GYN for some pain meds. Anyway, this is day 2 and guess what??? I am still having cramps pretty bad but wow what a heavy flow. I don't usually have this kind of flowage!! LOL (but I do have these kind of cramps) Anyway, just thought I would ask.
Thanks,
Amy
P.S. Sorry I haven't gotten back in touch with you Willow, been kinda busy round here. I went to the rheumy about my ANA test and he ran another one and it was negative so....I am just kinda in a holding pattern to see if he can figue out what is wrong with me. (I already know what is wrong with me though.....I haven't been eating my daily allowance of chocolate recently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL)

Hi Amy!
I've been thinking about you lately and wondered how you were doing and if you got to the bottom of the auto immune thing. As for the periods, mine have were heavy before the laser and after they were the same so there was no change. And your right...you have to keep your strength up and ensure you are reaching the recommended daily allowance of chocolate! Heavens, if you don't, you could faint or something...get it into ya girl! It's your duty as a good citizen to eat chocolate....I'm sure there's a law somewhere about that....isn't there? LOL Just wanted to say hi and see how you are...let us know how you're doing.

Hi Sweetie,
Let us know when they get you figured out.
Just wanted to tell you what my doc told me about post-LEEP/laser periods. He told me that the surgery shoudl not have an impact on your period because it is on your cervix and your period happens in your uterus. The big thing that probably causes heavier periods after these procedures is the stress. And, you have had an added dose, right? Plus, it seems that much worse since we are all stuck with pads.
