Ok i have been reading post on here and im just wondering now. Well i posted a few days ago about what happend to me on sunday. I will post again for all the people who did not read it. Ok I went to work and all of a sudden i got like a feeling of irratableness and couldnt stand still. Then all of a sudden i couldnt see much it was all blurry. At that time i couldnt hear anything eigther. I started getting dissy and feeling sick like i was about to pass out. I started sweating and getting really really hot. Finally after about 10 mintues i was still a little dissy but i was getting back to my self. But i still couldnt drive it was so bad. Everytime i would stand up i would feel dissy again. I have had a few of these for about 4 years now off and on every few months. And then again today i was at work and out of nowhere i began to feel dissy and sick. it didnt get as bad as it did on sunday but it wasnt anything i would call normal. Diabetes and Hypoglycemia (spelling) runs in my family. My mom is a nurse and is going to be monituring my blood sugar levels with a moniter over the next few days. She hasnt gotting it in at her work yet but within the next few days she will be doing it. How should we go about doing this? should i fast? Or No? What levels are we looking for? Anything would be greatly appriciated (spelling). Thanks!

I would go to the dr asap. Those symptoms can be anything. Once that happened to me but it turned out to be vertigo. I was in the ER i thought i was having a heart attack, but it was only vertigo which can be quite alarming, if you never had that happen b4.

A doc would do all the test and be able to best help you. Good luck and sorry i couldn't be much help.

I agree with the poster who said to get to a dr asap. It could be anything. If you are going to monitor blood sugars anyway here is my suggestion.

Start with a fasting as soon as you wake up in the morning
then two hours after breakfast
right before you eat lunch
and two hours after lunch
right before you eat dinner
two hours after dinner
once at midnight
once at three am.

Sorry it seems like so much, but if you are a diabetic then the doctors will need to know this info in order to adjust insulin rates or amounts for you correctly and to the best of their ability. The more blood tests you do throughout the day the more information they have to work with. Also, keep a record of the times and readings, as well as, a record of how much of and what you ate throughout the day that you test.

Hope this helps,
