Sometimes (including tonight!) my ear thumps... It's very annoying and not painful, but uncomfortable. What is going on? And how do I fix it? Thanks!

Sometimes my eyes switch, thats normal i think because other people ive asked have the same thing, i think my ear bumps sometimes too, im not sure though, but i think it sounds normal! If your worried its best to check it up though, even if the doctor says you worry too much, best be safe than sorry!

My ears..click when I turn my head to the side or up and down....I have creeks in my neck and I can hear it..most distressing...no pain but its like standing on a twig...maybe its wear and tear on the bones..dont think ear thumping is worrying.

Dan,

Sounds like classic symptoms of TMJ.

Singer1, i was intrigued by yur screenname. I am a professional singer and have been trying to find the connection between tmj and singing. I am really worried about upcoming gigs, and was wondering if you have some techniques to relax the jaw before singing.
Thanks

I get that - it's ANNOYING!! I get different kinds and so does my husband. Does it go with your heartbeat? (that's the kind my husband gets), but I get it differently, it doesn't go with my heartbeat and no matter what I do I can't stop it! It seems to only happen at night when it DOES happen. I blame it on earwax, you could try drops of a mixture of half rubbing alcohol and half Hyrdogen Peroxide (3 drops), if it sizzzles inside like an egg frying, you have lots of wax. (You can call your pharmacist and verify this - I mean I don't know if you make it a habit of just doing things people on the internet TELL you to do! LOL!) But call and they will tell you that this is fine. The doctor told my husband to try this.
