My mother is 56 and had her annual mammo yesterday. The doctor noticed a spot in the middle of the breast as well as the outer portion. We have no history of breast cancer or any other cancer in our famiy. I am so sad for her because she is terrified. She has one test yesterday, but has to wait seven days for the next test.
I was wondering what the best websites are for breast cancer information. I want to start learning all I can so I can support her during this time. I love her very much. Any information would be helpful.
Thank you,
Alissa

Hi there,
http://www.oncolink.org is a great site. [I had this one approved before.] Best of luck to your mom. My advice is to listen to your gut and make sure she gets all the tests she needs.
