I have felt sick off and on for a few months.I get dizzy feeling, nausea and just a bla feeling almost all the time.I dont really want to go to doctor for this cause everytime I go to him his first question is what do you think is wrong.Well if I knew what was wrong I wouldnt wast money to go to doc.
Anyone know what could cause a sick feeling like this for a long time?Sometimes I will start shaking and have cold chills with this.I will also have cold sweats

I can relate to how you feel, I have felt like this for almost a year now, and have been to several doctors who put it down to anxiety.. I have been tested for almost everything possible, and the only thing that came back was my white cells in my urine very apparently very high, but the Doctors did not tell me and nothing was done!! however a couple of weeks ago I went to se another Doc as I also suffer from palpitations a lot and have been to see a cardiologist who told me I was fine.. anyway this Doctor sent me to see another Cardiologist who told me I have Mitral Valve Prolapse (which I had diganosed my self with thank to this website), Anyway although I will be on medication for the rest of my life they don;t think its related to my other symptoms (the same as you have) so he took another urine test and tells me he is certain it is a bladder infection, which can cause all of those symptoms, and although I have not had any real pain it can still lurk around apparently... I woudl recommend you try another Doctor if you can! as I had tried many until this one took me seriously... and now as a result I do not have much faith in Doctors, as they never picked up my heart problem even though they all commented on my murmur.... I know how you are feeling as it effects your like in a lot of ways. Please let me know how you get on.

I have mitral valve prolapse to and I had it for many years before a "real" dr told me. I had been going to this one for years with these complaints, I wore the 24 halter monitor yada yada yada and he always said everything is fine, you go home and be a good mommy and it will be better....the anxiety was horrible and the panic to (they go hand in hand sometimes)anyway after a couple more years of this Dr I finally went to another one also a cardiologist, he ran tests, monitors ultra sound and then told me to read this book on MVP so I could understand it better. He looked in my files that were transfered from the other Dr and it stated right in there MVP but that dr never told me anything just treated me like a hypochondriac. I still see this same dr and I never went back to the other one after finding that out. So faith in Drs are limited for me to, I'm glad I found this one tho or I would still be running around trying to figure out what was happening to me, that was 19 yrs ago and I've been going to him ever since. Not all Drs can diagnose mvp, almost have to have an ear for the murmur as it is rather common and most people are not symptomatic, I sure wish that was my case. But finding out that I had it helped me deal with the symptoms better and I have less panic because of it. It's easier to deal with something if you know what it is and about it. I had the same thing happen with a female neurologist who sent me home to wither away because she didn't bother to read the radiologist report that stated MS and need further testing...had to go to another neurologist to get diagnosed and by that time suffered irrevesible nerve damage..Drs duh! Some Drs think they are above the radiologist who really are the diagnosticians in most cases since they read the mri, xrays etc. We've all got our horror stories tho.

Hi Nancy H, its a shame that we need to get second opinions, especially when it comes to something like this. I have suffered for almost 18 months now like this and I did not need to. I am on Sotalol tablet and have to take them everyday now and I cannot go to the dentist without having antibiotics first. I have spent a fortune in the last few months with Doctors visits to CT scans etc as I chose to go privately instead of the public health system as liek you they had me on a holter monitor and told me there was nothing wrong. I am still getting the palpitations but only slightly!! I actually diganosed myself with MVP b4 I went to the Doc but did not tell him that.

I'm sorry that you have been sick for so long. I felt this way for a while a year or so ago, and I found that I was creating the sicknesses in my mind due to depression. Not a good place to be. I hope you all get better soon.
