View Full Version : Red eyes

Hi, I've just signed up to these forums, because for the past few months I have been having problems with my eyes. They are almost always red during some point in the day (even if it's not too pronounced) and although I have never had any pain or discomfort, it is starting to worry me. Actually more than anything it's frustrating as it doesn't look nice. I do wear contacts, but not nearly enough to cause a problem (perhaps twice a week) , and the only other thing that comes to mind is that when I'm in the shower my eyes sometimes react. But I'm really getting fedup. I did go to the doctors and after literally a 5 second checkup, I was prescribed an ointment essentially to prevent conjuctivitis (which I don't believe I have anyway.)

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this, and knows what it is or how to prevent it? Thanks

My eyes are almost always red. I have worn contacts though for years. My left eye recently has been worse and I can relate to the way it looks. I envy people who have nice white eyes! :) I also have a pronounced vein in one eye from an accident as a child. I know people notice and it and some even comment on it. Oh well! I unfortunately have no ideas for treatment- but know that you are not alone!
