I don't wish to bore you but would realy appreciate any
feedback. I will be having part of my bowel removed in the next 2/3 weeks. Have had stomach/bowel problems for the past 5/6years. 6 weeks ago, passed a lot of blood. My G.P. performed a sigmoidoscopy and took biopsy of POLYP!!! The result was benign. Refered me to a surgeon who did another biopsy. I then had a colonosopy and was told by the specialist the result was carsinoma?? His second in command told me later that both biopsy results were the same. I'me so confused and scared. Would like to ask lot's of questions, and I know from reading the posts that many of you have been or are currently going through the same thing. I look forward to hearing from any of you.

If your first biopsy was benign and the second carcinoma then the results were not the same. Before having surgery you need to be very clear on what you have and why they need to remove anything. Before committing to surgery you should see a specialist. There may be other alternatives.
