I am new to MS. I was diagnosed last July. I have attched a web site that has some information about the effect of heat on those with MS.
http://www.multiplesclerosis.com/admin/templates/Templates/Answers_Signs_Template.aspx?articleid=17&zoneid=11.
I find I have problems with my left leg support when I over heat. Best of luck and I hope this helps.

MS can do that and I don't think there's much you can do besides take frequent breaks and drink A LOT of water to keep your body temperature down.
I've heard of an athelete with MS who used to train by running until she became blind, waited until her body temperature was back to normal, then running again.

Hi,
I find that taking things easy or at least a slower pace and allow time to get chores and other work done helps. Its frustrating when before a few years back I could get a weeks worth of work done in one day, lol.I only noticed today,it was 65 degrees, and me and my children took a walk, the longer I walked,my vision did worsen and is still blurry'r than usual.Does anyone find this typical with their ms?
Wish you all well, and stay positive:)

hi.......i suffer badly with the heat...and being in queensland, australia it is very hot here at the moment around 35-40c .......we decided to get a spa pool and keep the temp at around 30c ...it really helps with the aches and pains and cools my body temp down too.......my old bath tub wasn't big enough to lay down and soak in...

hi, i'm also new to MS, my problem with heat is, when warm/hot (in the bath)
iget really itchy legs and my legs feel weak when walking almost like i have the flu, this is not so bad to cope with and i've noticed alot of MS sufferers have the same problem but I don't seem to be hearing so much about constantly being very cold. I find it, somtimes impossible to keep any heat in me, which I think is getting worse.
I would love to hear if any one else has this problem with the cold.
