I just found out through a screen that I have Hep C altough I did test positive in a test 2 yrs ago when I later tested it was negative for some unknown reason. The last screen was done about a month ago in the psych unit at my local hospital and I went wedenesday to schedule all the other tests that confirm without a doubt, what kind, and how bad which will be next thursday. I will see the doc on the following wednesday. When i first tested positive 2 yrs ago I became deathly ill with jaundice and the whole nine yards for about a month then it tapered off, At that time I began drinking a lot of green tea and milk thistle and I started to feel better, a few weeks later I tested negative twice so I thought I had it whipped. So I went back to my usual habits which by the way were shooting up oxs, morphine and other IV drugs and binging on pain meds. For the last year I had been feeling fatigued, had headaches a lot, hair loss(not considerable) and basically I just felt like crap all the time but I blamed this on the drugs and lack there of. So about a month ago I had went through every dime I had and could borrow and was considering suicide so I decided to check in the hospital. There I met a great Psych doctor who put me on a Suboxone(buprenorphine) maintenance program and it has done wonders for me as far as addictive behavior and such. Although it is an opiate maintenance drug it is a lot safer and thereputic than methadone and it is really the only option for me seeing is how if tried cold turkey and to totally abstain many times. It is hard to do that especially when you are in chronic pain. The only big problem I am having now is horrible headaches in the morning which seem to ease off as I drink coffee and take handfuls of aspirin(3-4 tablets). My question to any who would know is, "Are the headaches most likely caused by the hep?" "Is aspirin safe to take if you do have hep?" "Is there any other way?" "Surely this could'nt be caused by the suboxone could it?" Anyway thanks to all who took the time to read and reply to my letter. I really dont know anybody who has hep and I would appreciate some advice. By the way, I am a 26 yr old male who lives in the SE Ky region where there are not many good doctors. If anybody knows any good specialists within a 100 miles of my region please let me know. Thanks a lot, and thank you for your time and understanding.
