I feel very helpless .Someone I am very fond of is being treated for stage 3 colon cancer which may have spread to his brain too.help! :(

Explain briefly your/their situation and any specific questions or feedback you need. I was new to the site a couple of months ago (my Dad is 66 and has colonrectal cancer which spread) and everyone is very helpful in responding. 'Worried Daughter'

Sometimes we don't know what to say, but love and attention speak louder than words. Just be there for them, even if it's just a shoulder to cry on. And of course if you are in a position to be pro-active, i.e. live nearby, you can do little things like errands, or cooking. Always keep up a good sense of humor. "A merry heart doeth much good". :) Selfless love is what we all need.
