I have been on 50mg/day of Zoloft for slightly over 2 years. It has worked very well for me, decreasing my depression and obsessions to the point where I actually felt "normal" again. However, in the last few weeks my obsessions have started coming back (regret over a past mistake). I went to my doctor who recommended increasing the dose to 100mg. I have been on that dose now for a little over a week, with very slight improvement. I am still constantly thinking "If only..." and "I'll never get over it".
How long does it normally take for a dose increase to take effect? Would it be better for me to switch to a different medicine? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

it takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks to get the full effect. I would say closer to 8 weeks.
Give it more time..... If zolof worked for you in the past in will work again.
I try to get off meds and i crashed and burned. now I am back on 300 mg. of luvox.
