my husband has been going to the doctor for the past few months. he has always had a major heartburn problem so that was an issue but through blood tests, they determined that he is also very low in iron. soon he will be going in for some additional tests because his side of the family has had a history with either stomach or colon cancer. the doctor suggested these tests based on the two factors i've mentioned and also because of his family medical history. he is only 32. i am not familiar with what tests he will go through and quite frankly i'm scared.
i know this is the time to give HIM strength but all this uncertainty and waiting is not helping. it's not like he's been diagnosed yet, but this is always something you never imagine happening even though it is a reality. there is no way to prepare for it. i guess i am just wanting some input. anything. he's acting so casual about this. i don't want to push him into a discussion but i need to talk to someone. i need some advice. any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
PLEASE.......IF YOU HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO 'VIEW' THIS, PLEASE ALSO TAKE A MOMENT TO RESPOND.......PLEASE.....

I'm not much help but want you to know you have company. My husband has had stomach problems for the past few months. Went for a CT and they see a dark spot in colon. Goes for colonoscopy on the Sept 24. Seems like this happens to other people but never yourself. Will be praying for you

HI! Wrote earlier about spot found on my husband's CAT scan. Had a colonoscopy and they found a tumor the size of a golfball on his right side. Goes in for surgery Oct 10 and everything looks like it has not spread. When are your husband's tests? We are thankful that it was caught before spreading.
