Because i've had a lot of pain recently in my left testicle, through my own fault I was wondering when the pain has finally disappeared (most of it has now) but can you actually imagine the pain still being because you've been use to it for so long?

Absolutely yes. Don't ask me how to get rid of it - that will probably take some kind of self-hypnosis, but I know that imaginary pain is real, so to speak.

It's pretty common, I do that too. It can get very confusing!

If you do this for months, you might have a problem, but if you do it for only a few days, I wouldn't worry about it :).

Its a nightmare of a problem really. I keep thinking i've still got the pain, when I no that its gone because i can't feel it... its very strange.

Thanks

People with amputated limbs can still feel pain in their limbs, really! I think the nerves just keep on firing even when there's no longer a reason for them to do so. Habit, I guess, if nerve cells can actually have habits.

Pain can magically disappear when stress magically disappears. Can you get some time off? Go on a camping trip? A fishing trip? Something that would completely relax you. That would help.
