Every tooth in my head is killing me since I've had some dental work done about 3 months ago. Hot cold, sweet, AIR; if ANYTHING touches them its just excrutiating. I call the dentist and he says 'Come back in', I do, he does more work, they're good for a few days then worse than ever. I know its time to get a new dentist, but what could be causing this? Thanks

is your dr. addressing the teeth that are giving you pain or is he just working on other teeth? i wish i could tell you what was wrong.
if your bite is off, it could give you this much pain. ask if he could balance your bite. the sensitive to sweet wouldnt be your bite. its hard to say though, i dont know if you have decay, or gum problems, infection etc..
advil/ibuprofen works great for mouth/teeth pain.

Prolonged dental pain can be the result of the enamel eroding on the teeth. Dental procedures can also aggravate the nerves in teeth, which can lead to the need for a root canal, like crowning a tooth, for example. Did you ask your dentist how the enamel looks on your teeth? Sometimes, a few teeth hurting can also cause an entire mouth to ache, because the nerve endings are close together. Numbing shots can also cause some residual pain, but from my experience, it's isolated to the side of the mouth that was numbed. Hope this helps. A good dentist will answer your questions before doing more work on your mouth. You may also want to see a periodontist, to check for gingivitis, or an endodontist, to check on the pulp and enamel of your teeth. All the best...

I am in a similar situation to you, after dental work I have pain in all my teeth, hot, cold, air and particularly pressure and biting which is just awful. It has been like this for months and I have been to numerous dentists all can find nothing wrong with my teeth. I've eventually been told today that I may have to see a maxillofacial specialist or something to see if he can correct the problem. Just an accurate diagnosis would do me no moment.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I am also dealing with multiple tooth pain after fillings. Advil helps a lot, but who wants to take advil for the rest of their life, just to eat. I don't know much, but I can tell you to just keep going back to the dentist and have faith.
