Thanks Magpiezoe 11-15-2002, 10:25 AM Hello, I don't have it, but my mom did. It's really the worst and most embarrassing cancer that I have ever seen. (Cancer runs in my family.) She had severe abdominal pain and constipation. She would also have diahrea when the constipation would finally clear up. She was in so much pain that she couldn't go anywhere...not even to shop for groceries. The pain was constant, so it didn't matter if she was standing, sitting, or lieing down. She also vomitted up brown stuff, which I am not going to tell you what it was since it will totally gross you out. She was in so much pain that she had to be put on Morphine. The main info. you need is to catch it quick and fast, so you don't get as bad as my mother was. Get checked if you even think you might have it. If you have polups, have them taken out immediately. If you have a tumor and it is cancerous, be sure to get radiation or chemo ASAP. This is nothing to fool around with. God bless. ------------------ Magpie 1Dove 11-15-2002, 11:01 PM My dad had colon cancer also, and thank goodness they caught it before he even had symptoms. He was anemic on a routine check up, so they did a little investigation and found the cancer. It had spread to his lymph nodes, but fortunately no further. In the early stages you may have no symptoms at all. That is why it is so important to get routine check ups, and investigate anything that doesn't seem right. By the way, that was 25 years ago, and my dad is still with us. |
