I am just beginning to chart this month. Planning to ttc starting in May. I ordered TCOYF, should be on it's way shortly. I ordered some ovulation predictors and have the bbt thermometer, so that I can see if I see a pattern. I've read a lot from those of you using the microscope. Is this something you recommend or do the ovulation kits work just fine?

My cycle is very regular-29-30 days. No BC to contend with so my "hormones" should be "normal" (LOL if they can really be that!).

Any advice is appreciated! and best wishes to you all!

The book will give you some great information! And it is an interesting read. I will bump up my 2 "GOOD INFO..." threads for you to read. They have infor on charting, opks, etc. I just started using a saliva scope - so I have yet to see how it fully works. I am on CD 10 right now. OPKs worked for me, but they just get costly each month. That is why people get the saliva scope. Although, I just puchased 100 opk's at an online auction for only $26 including shipping. So that was a great price! I use 2 per day (around noon and then 10pm). This way I will be sure not to miss the LH surge.

I hope you ar able to find a pattern month to month. I have been charting since August, TTC since October. I don't ovulate the same day every month. It could be as early as CD 13 and as a late as CD18. But my luteal phase (time between ovulation and period) always stays at 13 days, so once I ovulate, I know exactly when to expect AF.

Good luck to you! I was chartting before I started ttc as well - its a great idea!

Thank you so much! You are so wonderfully positive in your posts! I read about 200 pages of the TCOYF book last night! It was very helpful. A little overwhelming at first but as I begin to implement I am getting a handle on it!
I ordered a BBT thermometer which came w/ the TCOYF software and a 30 day trial. I also checked into the site mentioned by the earlier poster and set up my info. It seems very easy to follow and I can access the charts anytime I am online.

Wishing us all lots of baby dust..secretly hoping mine is pink!:)

Thank you again!
