DO some of you drink while you are on meds? do you find it the next few days after ur more prone to obesssing ? :bouncing: and u feel weaker?

:nono: Drinking ANY alcohol or taking any other drugs, along with your prescribed meds is just plain ignorant! :rolleyes:
Sorry, but I have seen many people try to hang onto their old ways of trying to mind alter with alcohol and other drugs for years. I have had friends who were off all alcohol and drugs, and taking their meds, as prescribed; that were doing so well for a couple of years, and then they got the INSANE idea that they could still drink alcohol and take other drugs. Impossible! :eek:
IF a person wants recovery, then that means NO other drugs, which includes alcohol.

I don't really drink any more since we're not supposed to on meds. I will occasionally have a glass of wine with dinner or a beer or two if we go out but that is my limit.

I drank a lot when I was on paxil... but i'm over that stage now. I was diagnosed with ocd about a year or two ago but I've lived with it all my life. Just watch out. It didn't cause any phsyical damage to me.. but I got really drunk a lot faster because of the meds and this turned out to be a REALLY REALLY bad thing multiple times. Please, watch yourself. If you need to stop drinking earlier then the others then do so! Don't feel like your a pinner or anything, its just the meds. And ya, I do feel my ocd/ depression come back the day after drinking... like it takes away the effects of the pills. All in all, I still drink and I take zoloft now. But i've learned my lesson (quite a few times over) and I drink cautiously and very responsiblly now.
