Not pregnant yet, Pain is getting worse, Doing a laparoscopy now to check for endo [Archive]

I went to my obgyn yesterday for my "talking" appt. to show her my charts. Just to remind everyone, I went to the dr 3 months ago due to pain durin gintercourse and at other random times. She suspected endometriosis and determined through an exam that I have sore/tender ovaries (which is where my pain always is). She had originally told me to come back in 3 months to show her my charts. She also said that, since I am ttc, that if I am not pregnant in 6 months than she will want to do a laparoscopy to look for endo. Well...she wants to go ahead and do that, especially since my pain has gotten worse - and it was bad this last weekend! Definitely worse than ever both during and not during BDing. So anyhow, I will be schedluing that for end of March or early April.

I just wanted to update everyone.

Oh, and I am hoping to be pregnant before the lap! Then I won't have to do the lap right now until after having the baby and after breastfeeding. So, here's hoping I get pregnant this cycle!!

Oh laura, i really do hope it all goes well for you and you dont have to go through the lap, a bfp would be such a blessing for the both of us :)

Hi Laura,

Hopefully your BFP will come before you have to go for the test. It's frustrating not to be getting pregnant - as I am still waiting too. Wishing you and DH all the best.

Hey girls! Thanks for checking in! My lap date is April 27. We will not be ttc during April. Although we have tried this March. I am 5DPO right now so I should now next weekend if I'm pg. And if so, then I'm cancelling the lap! Woohoo! However, eventually someday I will have to have it to actually check for endo. But I'd rather get pg first!

I will add that my pain/discomfort/soreness has increased. It occurs more frequently throughout the month now. And yesterday and today it has been pretty sore - more so than usual. I am glad I will be getting it checked out through the lap.

Thanks for asking, but my lap isn't until April 27. So I still have a 21days to go before I have it. DEfinitely doing research on it though in order to prepare for it.

I am onto a new cycle now...I am on CD5. So I didn't get my bfp. So we are taking a break this month b/c I don't want to get pg and not know it while having the lap and such. The lap should be taking place 10DPO and that is just too early to reliably take a pg test and know for sure. So I okay with everything! On to see what's up with my body and then I can get my bfp!!

Laurabelle, i just wanted to let you know that i have been thinking of you and that i hope it goes ok on the 27th. You shall at least know more about what is happening with your body and be able to look to a positive future.

ThisWoman05, not to be mean at all or anything, but what was the purpose of your post? I couldn't figure it out. Do you have symptoms of endo except for the intercourse pain since you have never had sex? Let me clarify, in case you are wondering, I am married. I had never had sex until I was married. Then it was after being married over a year that my pains started. I am just confused about your post since it was the first time you posted in this thread about me having a lap to look for endo.

Sorry you didnt get BFP but you must look forward to 27th & your lap, at least you will have an idea what is going on, then im sure a BFP will be just around the corner for you & dh.

I am sorry I am 24 and don't understand any of the sex stuff. I have never had sex or had a boyfriend.

I am confused. Why are you posting on the TTC board? TTC is for people who are Trying To Conceive (A baby) which you are obviously not based on what you said.
