Colonitis, is imflamtion of the colon...in most cases if itis follows the name it means imflamation of....Hope I have been of some help to you...The colon is also known as the large bowel....

How do you treat colonitis? Is it related to cancer? My grandson was just diagnosed with it.

I think you mean colitis. Try a web search with this spelling and you will get a ton of info. It can take many forms and it is sort of a catch all phrase for many bowel disease, usually not serious but can be very uncomfortable and not a lot of fun. Usually diarhea but check it out. Grandson should see gastroenterologist for the lastest medications.
