Hello
I was really curious if anyone has tried and had success controlling appetite with this natural cactus called hoodia gordonii. Trimspa is supposed to have them but they are also sold pure.
Thanks for any help

there is not enough hoodia in trimspa to do anything,so dont waste your money, hoodia works pretty good if you you try it be sure to 100% pure hoodia succulent with no other additives,i dont know know what succulent means, but i know its the best to get ,you can take 2 to 4 at a time with no side effects,it considerd a food, give it try :bouncing:

I thought succulent referred to any plants which are like cactus, but without spines. I would assume that on the hoodia bottle they meant whole plant (as opposed to an extract). But I'm not an expert...

EDIT: Okay, looked it up. Cacti do fall in the succulent family. Therefore, all cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti (examples of non-cacti succulents are hen and chicks, aloe vera, etc.) Also, the spongy tissue of these plants which is used to store water is known as succulent tissue. So, my assumption still stands.

i am on trimspa right now- it is definately doing something- i feel warm all the time.. i feel like i have more energy then usual (while dieting). i dont know if it is a miracle drug- but it does have an effect. i have been on it for 7 days but i havent weighed myself yet because (too much info coming up) i am pms'ing and i always gain at least 5 lbs during this time and i am using the trimspa to lose only 10-15lbs... so any fluctutations are liable to cause some major discouragement...like seeking solace in a bag of reese's bites.... one thing i am doing is taking fibre pills- for a gentle, one month (too much info coming up again, sorry) colon cleanse (not laxatives!!!) which are really giving me a sense of fullness as they expand in your stomach.
anyways, i have tried xenadrine previously ( hated it) and i find the trimspa is much better if you are looking for an appetite suppressant. where would you find the actual hoodia extract?

The one you may want to try is by Millenium Health Supplements in Canada. They're the ones named in the CBS special. I did order some but haven't tried it yet. I'm trying to control my eating on my own first, then add the supplement.

I'm 2 days on hoodia, its just now kicking in. I have no hunger pains like usual, this time of the day. I lost 2 lbs first 24 hours, fluid I think. It will make you pee a lot the first couple days. I'm using the pure hoodia. This board will be hopping before long, all you'll hear is hoodia. I'm predicting this will be a big seller.

For faster weight loss, should I be looking for something that suppresses appetite (like hoodia) or SOmething that speeds up my metabolism? I was a bigtime ephedrine user and that had both! I have gained about 10 lbs since stopping it and I want to lose them again.
There is not enough hoodia in trimspa, I agree.

Are there any major side effects? It says that it has no caffeine or stimulants, but when yoiu get off of it, do you feel like you have to binge?
I ordered a bottle anyway- might as well... I was gonna spend the $ on trimspa anyway even though i dont think it's working. I'll give hoodia a try

Hi superherogirl - I didn't notice any side effects at all. What I did notice was that I was ravenous before I started taking them (which is why I wanted an appetite suppressant! lol!) and I am ravenous now that they are gone (which is why I am ordering more!). I am losing weight, but the downside is that when I do, my appetiete increases because my body doesn't like changing weights. I've detected a pattern - I know I am going to lose weight when I get insanely hungry, and I struggle to get through that one or two days before it eases up and then I lose weight. So when I get that way, I just think to myself "oh good, I'm about to drop a few pounds! Hang in there!" I have to fight the hunger with every weapon I have, including distraction, getting away from food, drinking tons of water, eating a lot of fiber, and taking the hoodia. I can only speak for myself, but I hope I answered your question. :) Let me know if you have any more.

I think hoodia in the pure form is overpriced, the price just went up a lot. Its just not worth it. It works but don't think the average person will pay the high price, maybe to try it but not long term.
