I am pretty active, I have horses so I clean the barn everyday I also go to the gym 4-5 days a week and do a good 45-55 min of cardio and really getting moving to a point I am sweating alot, either I run or user the glider machine. I do weight training 2-3 times a week as well. i am a medium built girl and alos a vegitarian. How many calories with all this information do you think I would need to lose 2lbs a week? Tbrider216, Theres all kinds of calorie counters on the net that can calculate this for you. Just search for calorie counters then all you'll need is your height and weight.I know of some but i'm not sure if you can list them on this board. Hope this helps you out...

To lose 1 pound, you would have to burn 3500 calories a week, so 2 pounds would be 7000 calories. Good luck! Hope that helped.

I think that based on what you've told us, you should start with 1500 calories per day and see how that works for you. You can always adjust up or down as you monitor your progress (But do allow for those "hormonal" weight spikes). You're wise to limit your weight loss to 2 pounds per week. Losing more quickly than that could cause you some harm. Good luck to you! :)
