I just bought some Barlean's Forti Flax and it's pretty good. I'm currently trying to lose weight and I've heard that flaxseed oil is very helpful in losing weight. What should I use? I seriously hate the taste of the oil, could i still get the same benefits from the ground flaxseed? I will try the oil again if It's more beneficial for weight loss. Looking for some feedback. Thanks!

I can't address ground flaxseed but I've started taking flaxseed oil capsules. I heard that they are good for lowering your cholesterol but know nothing about their "weight controlling" factors. I just discovered today that I have high cholesterol so perhaps my preminition led me to the flaxseed oil.

Ok, i have taken both and I like ground flax alot better. I felt more positive results, alot more quickly. It also has lots of fiber. I took the oil years ago, didnt see much in the way of results, and switched to ground. It has helped with my digestion, mood, and eased my pms symptoms significantly. I really like the stuff!

When I first took flax oil it felt VERY weird 'drinking' oil but now I don't even think about it, I jsut fill up my tbsp full and knock it back!! I also use the ground stuff too in my oatmeal.

Just knock it back, you'll get used to it.
