I'm 18 and recentley was diagnosed with ADD and started taking adderral xR whcih is really helping me. I'm up to 30mg a day. When I began I heard it was supposed to decrease your appetite so I was excited because I wanted to lose about ten pounds. I'm not on adderrall soley for weight loss! I just thought it would be a perk. Anyway, I still havent felt a decrease in appetite and its been about two weeks. Is this normal? Or does this only occur at a higher dosage? Im not uping mine, but I was just curious?

oh my goodness! I'm going through the very same thing with Concerta. I heard people lost their appetite too with it. I've only been on it a few days but I have definitely not lost my appetite and don't know if I ever will. In fact, it seems I've been just as hungry if not hungrier lately. Anyway Idont know what to tell you except i hope adderall works out well for you. What kind of ADHD do you have? I have the inattentive kind. I am 22 and just got diagnosed. I always knew something was wrong but didnt know what til i researched just recent. If adderall doesn't work, try Concerta. It seems to be good. Yeah, I'm not just on concerta for weight loss either lol. I don't really need to lose weight, I just wanted a couple pounds off maybe. But I'm really needing concerta for focusing on college and being motivated etc. It probably is normal the whole no loss of appetite. It probably just happens to some people. It's just a side effect and nobody always gets the same ones so...thats probably what it is. What is your dosage right now? ok well write back if you want....it would be interesting to talk more about this stuff! :)
