I've been on nuvaring for more than six months and I'm not as "lubricated" as I used to be during sex. This has been going on for half a year now. Even though I'm wet on the outside, when my boyfriend tries to enter me he has to be very careful the first several thrusts, cause on the inside I seem to be dry. (sorry if this is too graphic) Sometimes we use lubricant (but I don't like the hassle, nor the feel of it). Anyway, after sex I'm always sore.
Does anybody else have this problem with Nuvaring? Any solutions?

It's definately a side effect.
Your only option is to use lubricant. Yes, it's a hassle, but it takes all of a few seconds to apply.
Your only other option is to look into other birth control methods.

Nuvaring is the only birth control I feel comfortable with, so I'll just have to bear the side effect... (Even with lubricant I feel sore, so I might as wel not use any...)

This was one reason I stopped using it. The first month on the ring it gave me an increase in vaginal discharge that was gross. After that I dried up like a bone and it was very irritating. Some days during the month I would be ok and actually have discharge but many times I was completely dry down there. When my husband and I had sex I was so dry it made it difficult. Now I am off nuva ring and when we had sex my husband commented that I am much more lubricated than before so he totally noticed it too.
