Yes... no matter which day you start on...take your first pill the sunday that follows. Even if you start on Sunday... take your first pill.
It is a little confusing... I do not understand why we have to start our period before we start the pills. I guess it will mess up our cycle. I dont know.
I have irregular periods all the time- sometimes I dont even have one. I asked my doctor yesterday if I didn't even start what I should do...and he said..."just wait until you start"... but that could be months.... I dont get it.

You start the pills when you have your period because this is when hormone levels are at their lowest.
If your periods are that irregular, you shouldn't just wait for your period. You can start the pill before getting your period, however that isn't the usual recommendation, for the above mentioned reason.

I have a friend that did not start for almost 2 months and all tests taken came back negative and her dr put her on Progestrin sp?(to start her period), shes not on the pill.
If u want ask u dr, i dont know if it will conflict with the pill or not..

My last period started on Jan. 29th... So I am expecting to start Feb. 29th...but if I don't ...what do you recommend? Is the pill still effective if you start it without a period?

I had a problem like that when I was an athlete in high school. I stopped getting my period and I wanted to get on birth control to regulate it. When it didn't come so I could start the pills, he phoned in a script that made me start. This was 5 years ago, so I don't remember what it was called, but it worked. I got my period a few days after I started taking the script. Maybe you can ask your doctor about that option?
