I have been having many problems on BC (the pill), mostly I bleed for 3 weeks at a time. I am going in for my annual next week and am thinking about switching to another type (eg. patch, depo, ring . . .)
Can anyone give me pros and cons of what you take?
Another thing is that I just quit smoking after 12 years, so maybe that will screw up me period even more? or maybe less?
Please respond, I can't take all this bleeding anymore, adn my doctor (I have been to 3 different ones now) arn't really taking me seriously. It's been going on for about 4 years, and I had one doctor ask if it was really that big a problem. I'm at the end of my rope here.

Sounds like you need a stronger-dosed pill. I wouldn't think that smoking would cause the prolonged bleeding, either. Read through the posts on this board-- every form of birth control is covered.
