I put my first one in last night before bed. I was fine with it all night. Didn't feel it. Got up & was fine. Still don't feel it. Today at work, after lunch, I noticed a very crampy feeling in my lower abdomen, lower back, feels exactly like a strong mestrual cramp. I'm also bloated & (sorry this is graphic!) very wet. I am using a panty liner for the wetness. Is this all normal? If so, how long before it goes away? ugh! I'm not sure I want to feel like I'm on my period every day.

Day 2 of nuva ring. still cramping. Still bloated. I took a midol & it seemed to help it a little bit, but very annoying that I"m having period symptoms when I'm not even due for my period. Still would like to know if this is all normal or not & how long this may last. Thanx in advance for any answers.

I had some symptoms the first few days I had it in...cramping, low back discomfort, wetness and nausea. After a few days they went away. I'm liking it so far!!! Good luck!!

It's normal. The side effects can last for a few cycles, but are normally gone after the first cycle.

I have been on the nuvaring for over a year now and I haven't really had any problems. Make sure that you take it out when you are supposed to so you don't screw up your body. For those out there who hate periods, when it's time to change your ring, instead of waiting a week, put one right back in and you won't have a cycle. You might spot a little until your body gets used to it. Always consult your Dr. though.
