i get my norco from my pain mang. doc. i went to my primary care the other day and he asked how i was doing on my pain meds. i told him I was a little low. he gave me a script for 90 norco. great right. the next week my pain doc gives me my usual script of 120 norco. i take my script in and they won't fill it because i filled the 90 for my primary care.

question: i go to Walgreens or CVS. is there a network where they keep track of the meds you fill.

is there a way to get around it. not illegal. now i'm out of my script and the 120 is sitting at the walgreens. i go to my primary care on friday. i'm going to tell him what happened, but does anyone know if there is a way around this.

big question. are all pharmacies linked and can i go to another pharmacy to fill my script and they won't know. this is the first time this has happened. but now i'm out of norco on friday. normally i would have 120 but the primary care gave me 90. any advice.

be careful too b/c your pm doc can terminate your care b/c your primary gave you pain meds.
I wish I knew the answer, I would think it would be either the pharmacy or insurance. Could always try another pharmacy and then you'd know. Best wishes to you.

Norco is a controlled substance and they will not refill unless you are very near to the end of the last time they filled it for you at that pharmacy. That is why they will not fill it. You can either wait to have it filled at the same pharmacy or take it to another. Pharmacys of the same chain can track your scripts. My advice, wait until you are closer to running out before you get the new script filled. It might look shady to a pharmacist.
