On my top eyelids I have really dry skin, I have had it for quite sometime now and lotion doesnt seem to make it go away. It also stays on the tops of my eyelids and doesnt move to anywhere else. I have tried different lotions from oil of olay to cetaphil to extra dry skin care lotions.....Some times it will seem to go away but always comes back in a day or two. Some times it itches and when it is at its worst it will burn when I put lotion on it. So I don't know what it is. If someone has any idea, please let me know.
Thank you!

This sounds like Blepharitis. Do not put any creams on your eyelids -- clean them with warm water only, and visit your doctor. He will give you special ointment or eye drops which will take care of this condition.

it could be an allergic dermatitis maybe from products or even from touching your lids with your fingers that have touched things that you could be allergic to (hope this makes sense).

examples would be nailpolish, acrylic/gel nails, metals, lotions..etc.

But before assuming anything and constantly putting on lotions, etc...it would be best to see a doctor so that you can be properly treated.

Let us know the diagnosis,

Thank you guys for your advice, I appriciate it. This morning when I woke up my eyelids were a little painful and swollen. This is the first time they had swollen up like that. So I made a doctors appointment today and will go in tomorrow to get it checked out. Hope it's not anything too bad. I'll let you know.

I have this too, but at the very side of my eyes. It seems a lot worse when it's really cold out...so I think it's just dry skin, but please post with what your doctor says.

Well I went to the doctor today and it turns out that I have eczema on my eyelids. He gave me Hydrocortizone Cream. Well that explains why none of the lotions worked.....
Maybe you should go to the doctor lexdc1 so you can know what it is for sure and get it treated. Good Luck.
