I'm a bit nervous about this injection I'm to have in the disk between this region.
Has anyone had this done? I know it's an outpatient procedure but if anyone can give me an idea of what to expect I'd be gratefull.

One thing that sucks is that I'm not supposed to have any advil or antiinflammatories for 4 days before the injection. That's gonna hurt.
Thanks

I had two, one on each side of C5-6 and didn't feel much. I was sedated, and since they used an xray they didn't go in blind. I honestly don't remember much of mine and I had one in my lumbar spine at the same visit. My first one four years ago hurt like heck and it was horrible. BUT, that was done in a normal bed by one person (anesthesiologist) and by just feeling for the site.
This time around they started an IV, did IV meds and did this in a sterile OR field. I was much more at ease. I hope yours goes well and best wishes to you!
