I've been taking Alessa now for almost 6 months, and just in the last acouple months I've been getting sick... once every acouple days I can't get out of bed because I feel like I'm going to be sick to my stomach... and I'm having troubles sleeping at night too... Could this have anything to do with the BC?

I've heard good things about it and I've heard bad.. When I get home after visiting my friend in a week and going to call the doc and get in to see her... should I stop taking the BC until I talk to her or keep taking it?

If anyone know, it would be great to hear from you.
Thanks :jester:

It COULD be the pill. When do you take your pill?

The pill can cause nausea, but sleeplessness isn't a common side effect.

Keep taking the pill as directed. Change the time you take it, and see if the illness persists.

I take my pill at around 10 at night so that I sleep through the nausea.

Sleep disturbances may not be a common side effect, but it can happen. I was taking BCPs for months and was rarely sleeping a full night. I would always wake up around 2 or 3 in the morning and wouldn't go back to sleep. I finally mentioned it to the specialist and he took me off the BCPs. I've been sleeping MUCH better ever since. Feel a lot better too.

I hope this helps.
