hello,

My mom is 65 years old. She has been suffering from pain all her life. Her pain started in 1973 (after delivery). She used to compain of heavy pain in her back (scitica) - left side. My dad did all test and everything was ok. Even best doctors coundt cure her. As years passed the pain expanded from the back to head and neck. She couldnt even move her neck and was hospitalized in 1980's. She went traction and my did everything he could. But that didnt cure her. The pain went on incerasing to her legs in 1990's. She has been to every doctor available but none could help. Her entire left side is ridden with pain and swelling. I am helpless. I have got internet recently, hearing about how people were able to solve their problems with the help of communities.

Till now no doctors has been able to diagnose her with the exact problem.

I am listing down the problems

- Started with scitica (lower back) pain on left side
- Pain then travelled to left leg & back
- It then went to neck & head
- There is high swelling on legs/hands/back
- Increase in weight
- Entire body is painfull all the times

Is there any cure or anything that can be done.

She has even tried acupressure/acupunture/ayurveda/naturopathy...but nothing seems to work.

might me reactive arthritis (also called reiters syndrome). Reactive arthritis is often caused by and infection but sometimes starts on its own.

It shares the same symptoms as rheumatoid arthritis but it also effects the spine and hips.

The eyes and mouth are also commonly effected. There may also be skin sores.

she may also may have nerve damage if she has a herniated disk pressing against the sciatic nerve.

Has she ever had a full spinal MRI? If not, she definitely needs one ASAP.
