Drink more WATER, wear gloves whenever you have your hands inwater a lot or when using any type of household cleaning solution. Take a Multi-vitamin supplement daily and moisturize your nails and cuticles with a good quality nail and cuticle oil such as Solar Oil (in fine nail salons and Ulta Cosmetic outlets) or Botanical Oil (available in Sally Beauty Supply).

The nails are DRY! Your body isn't producing enough oils and moisture to keep the nail palte hydrated. the nail oils I mentioned contain jojoba and vitamin e oils and will condition, moisturize and heal your nails.
