Wow! It's hard to imagine wanting to gain weight...That happened to me when I was in the hospital. My body hypermetabolized everything I ate-I was on a 7500 calorie diet for awhile until I started to gain. Pick foods that offer lots of calories in a small amount:peanut butter, whole milk, nuts, dried fruits, cheese, grapenuts. Snack between meals-make them like mini meals:crackers and cheese, bagel w/cream cheese, PBJ, bowl of cereal.
Hope this helps

if you want to gain weight i would start with an ensure plus drink at 6am, then have breakfast, at 10am have another ensure plus drink, lunch at 12pm, ensure plus at 3pm, dinner at 6pm, 9pm have another ensure plus and a snack, trust me you will start to pick up some weight. if they put you in a hospital to put on weight this is what they are going to do, so purhaps you should try this regimen and see how is goes, keep it up for 3 weeks to 1 month and the weight should start to come on....
ideal body weight is measured as such. 5 feet automatically starts you at 100 pounds, for every inch over 5 feet add, 5 pounds, for instance. i am 5'4 so i should weight 120 pounds....got it? hope this helps...
