I have this strange bump/lesian around my upper thigh/pelvis area that is extremely painful. It is reddish brown in color I would say ( although that may partially have to do with the scarring) Sometimes it swells up and it hurts so much that I can't stand to wear pants. It also can become itchy and painful at the same time. Sometimes it is small enough that it is hardly noticable, the size varies but it is ALWAYS very painful. What is really strange, is that the size can change in a matter of minutes. When it gets really bad it can open up and become an open sore in my skin and sometimes bleeds and has fluid come out of it. There was one time that what seemed to be the whole sore, fell out? And I was left with a HUGE crator. I hoped that whatever it was would not come back after that, but it did. It has been there for a while now and has gotten progressively worse. It is causing pretty bad scarring in that area and the pain seems to radiate a few inches around the actual lesian. A week or so ago right next to it, I got a strange round bump about the size of a golfball, this was not the same thing although maybe it's related? This one was painless however and caused no discomfort other than the size being terrifying. The golf ball size lump that popped up has since disappeared, but the lesian has not. I haven't had it checked out as I have no health insurance.
If anyone knows what this is please tell me, I am extremely worried about it and it is making me miserable from the pain.

I'm not certain what that sounds like. Could be some kind of cyst or boil that isn't quite cleaned out so continues to abcess from time to time. The golf ball sized lump could have been a lymph gland. If there is infection in the area of that lymph gland, it will enlarge while it's helping clear the infection. Even though you don't have health insurance, I would try to go in and see a doctor. If it's this painful and continues to come back, you should find out what it is and have it treated. Are there any county health departments you could go to? At least so someone can take a look at it and point you in the right direction if it can't be treated there. This seems to be concerning you, plus it's painful. You really ought to try and have it looked at by a doctor or nurse.

I agree. Are there any free clinics operating from your local hospital? you really should have it looked at if only for peace of mind and treatment.

I had one similar to yours. Turned out to be MM! (Malignant Melanoma) --- the most agressive form of skin cancer.

Don't mess around with this. Have it BIOPSIED immediately.
