Good question.
The implants that are most prone to causing problems for patients having an MRI of the brain would be pacemakers or heart valves, metal implants in a patient's eye or ears (for obvious reasons) and infusion catheters.
Most patients with these types of metal implants cannot have a MRI done at all. Also people who have shrapnel somewhere in their bodies are at risk.

BUT there ARE some metal implants that may be okay...yours being one of them. Most orthopedic implants are not magnetic. (hip and knee replacements; plates, splints, screws, and rods used for fractures etc..)

These metal implants can distort the MRI image if near the part of the body being scanned, but the shin is nowhere near the head and in theory you should be okay.

Obviously discuss this with your doctor to make sure your particular implant is compatible with the MRI scanner.
