I just had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled a little over a week ago and I developed 2 dry sockets on the bottom, surprisingly enough they weren't as painful as I was led to believe, but my big question is now on my bottom left side my gums are pulling away from my molars and it feels like I was punched in the jaw. Is this normal and will it go away?

I didn't find any soreness or bruised feelings until I was about 5 days post op. I had mine out on the 9th and today is the first day I didn't feel compelled to take the prescription motrin I had.
I asked at my one week post op appt. if it was normal to feel soreness this far post and the oral surgeon said sure thing! It's to be expected. .
It feels like my gums have pulled away from my molars too....I think that's a normal part of the hole closing up and new tissues forming.
I still wake up a tiny bit sore and feel achy on and off throughout the day. But every day gets better.
Sounds like you're doing great considering the dry sockets. Good luck with your continued healing. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have, I'm close to being about a week farther out than you, so let me know if I can help.
