Since Friday afternoon, I am having pain on the upper right gum...it is all the way at the top of the gum, not directly above the teeth. it almost feels like the gum is inflamed or "hanging" as i can move it around....i had a root canal on the lower right #30 and a temp crown in, but i dont think that would effect the upper....it hurts like hell, and ive tried washing my mouth with salt water, and ive taken iburpfen, but nothing helps...its really annoying, especially if my tounge ends up touching it.....ive been loading it with oragel until i can call the dentis tomorrow....any idea what this is?? did i cut my gum somehow? canker sore (even though thats not a place where i would expect one to occour).?

I have the same gum pain... Actually mine started with a gap and i had my crown remade to fit tightly. well now my gums around the crown hurt a lot after brushing and listerine... Right now i am using ACT mouthwash which contains no alcohol and it's still not perfect.....i think my pain lies in the top gum or bone actually...i dunno know...let me know how it goes. I really want to get rid of this weird pain...
