frig me! i am on the process of gaining weight and i had meatloaf for supper 2nite. i had a mini binge afterwards and purged until i hit my supper. so i still have meatloaf in my body. well, everytime i eat something i always go on here and look up the nutrition info and fat and crap and if its "healthy" or not. i mean, i am strong enuf to gain weight but it has to be with healthy foods. so, i looked up meatloaf on the net! like, c'mon sam! even if its just an apple, i always look it up. im so obsessed with the nutritional stuff its starting to get annoying. it feels comforting to me tho...like, ill pipe up the tunage, close the door and look these things up. for some reason it makes me feel good and relaxed. weiirrdd.

i guess i just like looking at the different things.

sorry if this was triggering in neway...and for my other posts, sorry if those were triggering 2!

like, on these health boards, i always go to diet and nutrition and excercise and fitness 2! but really, this board is where i liek to be:)

You look them up for the same reason the parent or spouse of an addict checks up on the addict. They feel they can control them, and that it is their responsibility to check up on them. They are obsessed with the other person. You are obsessed with food due to an eating disorder. You also did say that you found it comforting and that it made you feel good. That alone is why many people do the thngs they do. Is there a program for you to go to that helps you change your behavior if you want? Phoebe

I always check to see how many calories and the fat content in food. Speaking of food...my sister made these hamburgers today and all I could see was grease...yuck...before I even ate it I told myself that I was getting rid of it. Just about everyone that I know with an ed checks the content of the foods they eat so don't feel so bad about that. Did you keep the meatloaf in your system...that's the question you should be wondering about. And if you did then you should be proud of yourself. :nono:

I know how you feel, I do much the same thing. I'm not in the process of gaining weight anymore (thank god), but I check the nutrition facts of every little thing that I eat, either by just reading the package or, if it doesn't come in a package, looking it up online just like you do. And I have to look it up on several different pages just to make sure that what they are saying is vaguely correct. :(

hey girls..thanks! haha yeh, i did keep the meatloaf in my body, so i guess im fine with that. its really strange..thats why i am scared to see a nutiritionist because whatever the lady or man says, i might get even MORE caught up in it. 2nite we're having lasagna, so 10 bux ill look it up on the net. silly me..

How about tying to eat but just eat less fat?
I use to do that same thing. I eventually found dinners that ony had one gram of fat in them. They still make them but the fat is higher. They are the Smart Ones dinners. I was able to find food I liked and eat it eat guilt free. Back then I was only eating 5 fat grams and 500 calories. Far below the daily recommendations which is 65 fat grams a day. For me I can burn off the carbs while at the gym weight training ut tha fat seems to stick to me like glue.
So now I am up to 20 -30 fat grams a day and about1200 calories a day. I would be far below the fat if it were not for buying the wrong kind of cheese. I usually get the fat free swiss slices but I grabbed the wrong pack . Otherwise I would only be at 15 fat a day. Chesse is my downfall one stupid slice of it is 4.5 fat grams. Now my main conern is making sure I get lots of protein. Because protein helps build muscles, which indirectly burns fat.
After reading these boards for a while now I thought about binging the other day. After I thought about what I would have to go through in order to get that food up I really just did not have the strength especially after coming back from the gym. So I had a protein drink and after I drank it my craving went away.

LOL What makes you think they are fake. They just have more carbs and protein than fat. You can still gain weight actually you will weight more on the scale if you eat protein than if you ate fat. Muslce weighs more than fat.
