I just had some whole grain spagetti tonight, and it's been a long time btw. It was so good but now my stomach feels sick, seriously it could be the wheat, heh. And Sammy, don't feel guilty about eating lasagna. Your right, all that stuff is what your body needs like the calcium, protein and lycopene(sauce). And NO, not all carbs are bad. Even if the pasta was "white" it's not like you overload on it, and it's still going to benefit your body. :) Keep up the good eating girl! ;)

I actually make a healthy version of lasagne. I use strips of sauteed zuccino or eggplant instead of pasta and blended tofu with various spices and nutritional yeast for the 'cheese sauce'! Tastes just like the real thing!!

No it was organic pasta from bionature and it says 100%Stone ground whole drum wheat. My hubby or daughter will not eat any other kind. So I figured this was a good choice and it was a little pricey too. I figured that since it was better quality, my tummy should handle it considering that I hardly eat any other wheat products otherwise and that I don't think that this constipation is actually FULLY due to wheat, although I know cutting most of it out would benefit me because I got to the point where I bought psyllium husks for it and NOW I feel better and I gave up wheat for a WHILE before buying them.

Yes, zuccinni or eggplant lasagna is VERY good. I don't even miss the pasta. And, instead of lots of ground beef (my husband won't eat it without it), I put mostly veggies - onions, garlic, green peppers, mushrooms - with just a little ground beef. So good!

Yeah Sammy- you have to realize something- everything in moderation is FINE. This means that you dont have to post everything you eat in a new thread to see if its ok- it IS! And you know yourself it IS...you arent gorging on it every day for every meal, and it isn't over processed fried empty calories (and even THEN you wont die from one or two of those types of foods!). Keep trying to eat new foods and not think about the bad or good foods- there are NO "bad" or "good" foods..some are just "sometimes" foods and some are "always" foods..
