My sister, 41 yoa, diagnosed with AML will be getting a bone marrow transplant next month at Sloan-kettering in New York City. One of my other sisters is a perfect match. My sister is apprehensive about what to expect with the whole hospital stay (e.g., will she be kept drugged for 30 days, will it be 30 days of torture, or 30 days of boredome, etc.). Stories of the experiences of other Sloan-Kettering bone marrow transplant survivors, particuarly those with AML would be greatly appreciated.
