I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. When my thyroid started to fail I had spurts of hypothyroid symptoms too. I have now been on medication for my thyroid for 5 weeks but my mental symptoms have not gone away yet. Before my thyroid problem I felt fine my whole life. I mean I had anxiety attacks at the doctor my whole life but didnt think anything of it. I wounder if my thyroid problem unvailed an underlying anxiety/depressing problem i have always had. Its had to describe exactly how I feel. I feel different then I have always felt. It scares me and I feel like I am always about to have an axiety attack. I also feel depressed. When I go out anywhere like the library or to a store it seems like I am in a light headed daze like I am spacey. Voices and sounds seem unreal. I have been home for like 2 months now and only going out like 2 times a week for small amounts of time. Even when I am home I get nervous when my wife comes home. Sometimes I even see her differently. I feel like I dont have my life. I tried halucinagenics a few times when I was younger and the feeling I got on those is a very similar feeling. That is the best way I can descibe it. I find it hard to go on sites for thyroid problems or anxiety or depression and find exactly how I feel. I wish I can just read something that I can relate too.
