Have severe swelling all over, pain in the joints, cold temps, sweeling relieved by drugs. Doc's seem to think its scleraderma, but can't confirm it. Thinking it might be Lymphatic or myloid leukemia.

Scleraderma is an auto-immune disease so some of the symptoms would be similar. Blood work to determine the presence of specific, known scleraderma antibodies and a CBC Diff test to examine blood are the most common tests used to help narrow down the possibilities.

Have you done any reading on medical Web sites, like MedLinePlus?

I just had a cbc done for upcoming jaw surgery...I have the papers here with all the results and numbers can you tell me which ones are used to dx luekemia? For example my Mean cell volume is high its 97 and only should be 80-95. My red cell count is low its 3.89 and should be 4.0 to 5.1 and there is another one called Epithelial cells...I guess they are judged by Mild, moderate and many and mine are MANY. I looked this one up and it says MANY means either Infection ( which there is none) Inflamation or Malignancy. Can anyone tell me what part of the blood they test for luekemia? Thanks
