hey guys ok ive been on bcp for 3 months and i only have 2 more pills left and the five sugar pills left...the thing is i dont wanna take any more pills cause i gain 2 much weight so if i stop wat are the consequences should i take it one more month as a backup method to not getting pregnant..cause im afraid if i stop i could get pregnant cause while on the pill this month i had sex....anyone knows please help it will be very appreciated

You can stop taking the pill at any time. Just be sure you use some form of BC when you have sex from there on out. It usually takes several months for your body to re-adjust after stopping the pill but you haven't been on it very long so you'll probably re-adjust more quickly.

Stopping the pill is not a big deal. Just make sure you use something else, You won't get pregnant from previous sex on the pill if you've been taking it as directed (no missing pills, taking it late, etc.)

I just stopped taking the pill after 14 years on it back in November. No big deal. No side effects or anything. After that amount of time on the pill my body will probably be back to normal hormonally in about 9 months.
